Dr Octavian Tetelbaum – DMD, pHD candidate – Dentist
Dr. Octavian Tetelbaum graduated with honours the 5 years medical and dental program at Carol Davila University, Medicine and Dentistry, Bucharest, Romania, in 1995. He specialized in Orthodontics, graduating his residency in 1998.
Dr. Tetelbaum worked at five of the most prestigious dental clinics in Bucharest. As an orthotontist he worked with specialists from France, Germany and Israel to develop an internationally renowned aesthetic dentistry clinic in Bucharest. He was the manager of the dental branch for Omniasig, developing and managing the first private dental insurance plan in Romania.
Dr. Tetelbaum is a PhD candidate in Endodontics. He held a cross appointment as Assistant Professor with the Endodontic Department, Carol Davila University, until he immigrated with his family in Canada in the end of 2001.
He completed a 2 year Qualifying Program at University of Toronto, Medicine and Dentistry in 2005. Dr. Octavian Tetelbaum was the recipient of Norman Levine award for the best academic, leadership and extracurricular attainment at University of Toronto.
With a continuous interest in Orthodontics and Endodontics, Dr. Tetelbaum completed intensive courses in cosmetic dentistry comprising Invisalign, Computer Assisted Ceramic Restorations (CEREC), Veneers and Dental Implants.
Dr. Octavian Tetelbaum worked as associate dentist at Cosmo Dental Centre, London, Ontario, for 5 years. In February 2010 he opened his own dental practice at Synergy Centre together with his wife, Dr. Maria Tetelbaum, who is a family physician.
Having an European medical and dental formation, complemented by a North American training and 17 years of experience in the dental field, Dr. Tetelbaum is confident that he can fulfill all your family dental needs.

Terryanne Daniel – CMA, CDAII, CSHB – Director of Synergy
Terryanne Daniel graduated from Fanshawe College as a Medical Unit Coordinator in 1993. Her pursuit of knowledge compelled her to return to school for Dental Assisting. She graduated it with honours in 1995. In 1996, Terryanne successfully obtained her Level II, dental assisting at Western under the supervision of Dr. Mara .
In the first 5 years of her dental career, Terryanne worked at a dental office in Wortley Village while continuing her studies in Business and Marketing. From 2000 to 2007, Terryanne worked at Cosmo Dental in London as Director of Care. Her career in dentistry also includes working with Dr. Hebel a well respected Prosthodotist and Trainer in London.
Terryanne was an advocate for ‘Kids Help Line’ and participated in many fund raising events. She was also involved with the local newspapers and had articles published to improve dental knowledge in the community. Terryanne continues to volunteer at many daycares/public schools/camps in London to bring dental education and provide needed supplies. In 2014, Terryanne achieved her top bucket list item! A mission trip to Nicaragua to assist in a mandate to improve quality of education to a chosen school and community. This trip was more rewarding that she ever imagined and is excited to share her knowledge and experience of this of first of many similar trips planned. Just ask, and she will more than willingly share her journey.
In 2006-2007, Terryanne returned to her studies in Ottawa. Under the guidance of J.J. Brun and Dr. Robert Rohm, she achieved Certification as a Consultant in Human Behaviour. In 2008, Terryanne became a Certified Specialist in Human Behaviour. She was an active member a of First Class Toastmasters here in London and Past Area Grosvenor.
Terryanne currently holds Workshops and Team Development meetings with local businesses and business owners. Coaching, personal or within a designed group is another area she can assist you in reaching your goals.
Since May 2007, Terryanne has worked closely with Dr Octavian Tetelbaum and Dr Maria Tetelbaum in designing, building and directing the site we now call Synergy Centre.

Dr. Angela Ma – DDS, BSc
Dr. Ma obtained her degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Toronto in 2005 and received the John A. Bothwell Scholarship for Excellence in Prosthodontics.
Prior to practicing in private practices, Dr. Ma completed 2 years of post-graduate training at the State University of New York in 2005-2007 where she was a clinical instructor for undergraduate dental students as well.
Dr. Ma partakes in community outreach such as educating elementary students the importance of dental care. She volunteered in underserved areas in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. She also attends continuing education courses to stay up-to-date with the most advanced techniques and technologies. She has recently completed an adjunct Mini-Residency for TMJ and Sleep Therapy, as well as Airway Prosthodontics.
Dr. Ma is a member of the Royal College of Dental Surgery in Ontario, the Ontario Dental Association and several study clubs such as the Spear Study Club and Dental Exchange in London.
She moved to London in 2007 when her husband started his medical residency training at UWO. They had fallen in love with the forest city and the friendly people here. Dr. Ma is also the proud mother of Luke and Lauren. In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her kids, travelling and golfing. Dr. Ma is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Leyla Ghasempour – CDAII – Patient Care Co Ordinator
Leyla was born and raised in Ormiya, Iran and moved to Canada in 1998.
Leyla fell in love with the position as Dental Assistant after her own personal dental visit here in London. Leyla knew she wanted to be a Dental Assistant one day. She was managing a store and had to wait for the right time to pursue this dream. By 2004 she was prepared to return to her schooling.
Leyla graduated from Medix school in May 2005 at the top of her class. She completed her externship at Cosmo Dental Centre and was hired on immediately. Leyla started working with Dr. Tetelbaum where he was an associate at Cosmo Dental Centre. Within just months she became his primary assistant.
Recently, Leyla moved to Synergy Centre and enjoys working with the team. Leyla remains committed to Dr. Tetelbaum, the Team and loves helping patients with all their dental needs.
Jessica Barnett-Vargas – CDAII – Patient Care Co Ordinator
Jessica was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic and moved to London, Ontario in 1998.
She graduated from Oakridge Secondary School and later attended Medix College for Intraoral Dental Assisting, receiving her Level II CDA certificate with honours. Jessica was placed at Synergy Centre for her school externship and was hired before completing the required hours.
Jessica looks forward to expanding her dental knowledge and creating great relationships with her patients and team at Synergy Centre.
Amanda Robinson – RDH – Dental Hygienist
Amanda was born in London, Ontario and raised in the small town of Parkhill 40 minutes west of London. She attended North Middlesex Highschool in Parkhill. She graduated with top grades in 2008 and received the Chemistry Award, Co-op Education award for her outstanding placement at her family dental office, and was awarded the Queen Elizabeth’s Award of Academic Excellence Scholarship towards her College education.
Amanda then chose to attend Niagara College in Welland to obtain her Certificate in Dental Assisting Levels 1 and 2. Her goal was to always become a Hygienist, but wanted to have a well rounded knowledge of the dental field and felt having Dental Assisting would be a huge asset in the future.
Amanda graduated on the Academic Honour Roll and was awarded with the faculties ‘Dental Assistant Faculty Tribute Award’ which was given to the student thats showed the best attributes of an exceptional dental assisant. She was also chosen by her fellow students and peers for the ‘Outstanding Team Player Award’.
Amanda then went on to complete her Diploma in Dental Hygiene at St. Clair College in Windsor and graduated in 2011. She enjoyed the challenging course load and maintained the Academic Honour Roll throughout her years of study. One of her favourite parts of the program was helping to develop a clinic program at the Windsor Essix health unit to provide dental care to homeless and extremely low income individuals.
After graduating with her Diploma, Amanda worked as a temporary fill in at a few different practices and then secured a part time position at a local small town dental office. She learnt a lot and enjoyed practicing in the fast paced setting but felt as though something was missing.
In June 2011, Amanda joined the Synergy Dental team and never looked back! Amanda loves that she has the time with her patients to properly care for them, and can also get to know them.
Amanda loves taking courses and expanding her knowledge. She has been side-by-side with Dr. Tetelbaum as he advances his education at LVI in Las Vegas in the study of Neuromuscular Dentistry. After the first LVI course Amanda attended she was amazed and found a new passion for the study. Once she returned from the courses at LVI, Amanda created a check sheet to be implemented at all of our examinations to assess our patients for signs and symptoms of bite discrepancy. She works with Dr. Tetelbaum on all of his major neuromuscular rehabilitation cases.
She is extremely passionate towards her work and excited that she gets to work with Dr. Tetelbaum helping patients every day.
Amanda is happily married to her high school sweet heart Mike. They welcomed a boy Mason in May 2013 and a girl Madison in May 2015. They live on their farm just outside Ailsa Craig. Amanda enjoys spending lots of time with her kids and two dogs, travelling, cooking and baking, sports, and fitness.
Amanda looks forward to meeting new patients and helping them achieve their best smile!
Jennifer De La Rosa – RDH – Dental Hygienist
Jennifer De La Rosa is a Registered Dental Hygienist with an Advanced Diploma from Cambrian College, Sudbury.
She also earned her Dental Assisting levels I & II certificate at St. Clair College before becoming Dental Hygienist. Jennifer worked for a year and a half as an assistant in the specialty of Orthodontics in London.
She achieved a high GPA throughout her schooling years and graduated as a Cambrian Scholar. Jennifer volunteered in the community of Sudbury such as Retirement Homes, Good Samaritan Center, Gift from the Heart, and Walk for a smile.
She returned to London and came to join the synergy team October, 2014. She is grateful to be working with such an amazing team.
Jen was born and raised in London, ON. Jen truly enjoys learning and working with patients on oral hygiene and overall health and wellness are a genuine interest.
She believes smiling is most certainly contagious!
Nikole Kourtesis – CDAII – Patient Care Co Ordinator
Nikole attended H.B Beal Secondary School, graduating in 2009. Upon graduation she attended Medix College, graduating in 2010.
Nikole was born and raised in London Onatrio. She graduated from H.B Beal Secondary School and then attended Medix College, taking the Intra Oral Dental Assistant course. She later went on to achieve her level II certificate, where she joined Synergy Centre’s Dental team where she assists chairside with Dr. Carlos Lopez.
More recently, Nikole’s position within Synergy Centre has expanded to one of their main receptions for the entire facility. She hopes to greet you with a warm smile and answer any questions you may have on your path to optimal health.
